    Somatic Support Circle
    Donation-Based • All Are Welcome • 90 Minutes | SE Portland, Montavilla

Somatic Support Circle is an ongoing, heart-centered space for connection, reflection, and embodied healing.

Each circle is guided by a unique theme shaped by the needs of those who attend—creating a grounded, supportive environment for emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and authentic connection.

Rooted in the Nordic concept of nytta—to be of benefit, to offer what is needed—this donation-based circle is designed to make healing work accessible to all. It is an opportunity to receive support, share your experience, and reconnect with your body in a safe, welcoming space.

    Each 90-minute circle includes:
Peer support & deep listening — a facilitated space for sharing, reflection, and being witnessed
Somatic healing practices — gentle movement, breathwork, meditation, and body-based awareness
Ancestral & folk medicine elements — grounded, ritual-informed practices that support connection, remembrance, and integration

Come as you are. Leave feeling more connected—to yourself, your body, and your community.

This circle is ideal for those seeking peer support and somatic integration in the SE Portland area. Our circle is open to all bodies and experience levels. You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels right—sharing, listening, or simply being present.

Wednesdays

  • Scheduled in the early evening, this gentle four-part practice offers a gradual, body-led path from the weight of the day into deep stillness.

We move through gentle shaking to release held tension, shift into self-directed intuitive movement, and finally settle into quiet sitting or lying down — simply witnessing the body and breath.

Everything is invitational: seated or standing, small movements or larger ones, eyes open or closed. This is a guided practice, but deeply self-led, designed to honor exactly what you need in the moment. It's especially well-suited for those who carry chronic stress, tend toward busy minds, or find it difficult to drop straight into seated meditation — though anyone seeking to discharge the day, lift their mood, and arrive at a more spacious, grounded sense of self is warmly welcome.

Come as you are. Drop-ins always welcome.

  • Soul Release Karaoke

    Every 3rd Friday | 7:00 PM | Donation-Based
    At The Way Home Studio
There are moments when words fall short, and the soul asks to be heard through sound.
Soul Release Karaoke is a monthly gathering devoted to expression, release, and connection through music. This is not a performance space — it is a ritual space. A place to let your voice move energy, soften what’s been held, and create room for joy, laughter, and emotional release.
You are welcome to sing, witness, or simply be held by the music. Whether you’re quietly humming along, belting out a song that carries memory, or cheering others on, your presence is enough.
This gathering is about authenticity, not perfection. No singing experience is required — only a willingness to show up as you are.
    What to expect:
    • A supportive, judgment-free environment
    • Costumes welcome, comfort encouraged
    • All ages welcome; songs are not censored
    • Bring your own non-alcoholic beverage
    • Open to all genders and all voices
Come solo or bring your chosen family. We’ll provide the space, the music, and the container. You bring your voice, your heart, and whatever is ready to be released.
Sing to soften. Sing to release. Sing because your voice remembers.

Seasonal Offerings

May

  • Breath, Body, Spirit is a 6-week somatic breathwork immersion designed to build the foundations that make breathwork safe, empowering, and truly transformative. Over six weeks, participants explore how breath interacts with the nervous system, how the body holds and releases emotion, and how ritual and intention deepen the practice — leaving with tools they can return to again and again.

Each session combines structured teaching, a guided breathwork journey, and dedicated time for integration and community sharing. This immersion is well-suited for practitioners looking to deepen their somatic or breathwork skills, individuals navigating personal transformation, and anyone ready to develop a grounded, embodied relationship with themselves. Next Sacred Rage: July 18th

Sacred Rage: A Ritual of Release & Reclamation

Are you tired of being quiet? Of being polite? Are you ready to unlock the places within you that have been shut down or frozen?
What if your rage is not something to suppress — but something sacred?
Your rage is not a flaw. It is not “too much.” It is not wrong.

Our anger is as divine as our joy. As holy as our pleasure. It is a sacred signal — an indicator that a boundary has been crossed, that something unjust has occurred.
When anger is suppressed or shamed, it does not disappear. It lodges in the body. It smolders beneath the surface. It leaks out sideways — or erupts.

But what if this powerful force were given a safe and intentional space to be felt, expressed, and witnessed?
When we consciously befriend and honor our rage, it becomes medicine. It sharpens clarity. It restores boundaries. It reconnects us to our power. From that place, joy expands. Freedom deepens. Wholeness becomes available.

    What to Expect
In this 3.5-hour ritual container, you will be invited to come home to your body — and to the truth of what lives there.
Your voice is welcome. Your tears are welcome. Your sweat is welcome. Your “no” is welcome. Every part of you is welcome.
Nothing is forced. Nothing is performative. This is not about reliving trauma. This is about reclaiming your power.

    Inside this container, we will:

    • Ground and resource the nervous system

    • Build safety and consent agreements together

    • Cultivate community connection and inclusion

    • Move through guided somatic practices

    • Work with breath, sound, and vocal release

    • Engage in intentional movement and embodied expression

    • Create space for anger to surface, move, and transform

Your whole self is honored here. You move at your own pace. You choose how you show up. The parts of you that have been silenced, shamed, or frozen are invited back — on your terms, with the steady support of community.

Come ready to listen to your body, to feel what has been unfelt, and to leave with more of yourself than you arrived with. On the other side of this ritual awaits deeper clarity, embodied strength, and a fuller sense of who you are.

All humans 18+ welcome. Limited to 10 attendees total.
This event will be offered seasonally in October, January, April, and July. Each ritual will be flavored with the current season that we're in; expressing and collaborating with the cyclical themes and dynamics that nature provides us.

    What to bring:

    1. Journal

    2. Water bottle

    3. A large mixing bowl (any material)

    4. A shawl or scarf large enough to cover your head

    5. Anything extra that your body needs to be comfortable on the floor. (the studio provides yoga mats, blankets, & blocks)

    6. Any items that feel important to be added to our altar (items will be returned unless they’re intended as an offering)

What to wear: Comfortable clothing that allows full body range of motion. Layers are helpful as your temperature will fluctuate. The studio is a shoe free zone so you will need to be barefoot or wearing socks.

Who are your facilitators: Andrea Thompson and Ida Cavewoman have been close friends for over 20 years and have spent over a decade regularly practicing magic together within a Coven. Through their mutual respect and deep trust of one another, their medicine weaves in an effortless way and you’re sure to be in good hands for such BIG work.

Andrea is a native to Oregon, lover of magic, tinkering herbalist and dancer at heart. She has cultivated her practice of holding space for others through her 25 years of Massage Therapy experience in which she deeply listens to what the individual’s body is asking for and what old stories are ready to be released in that precise moment versus going with a specific protocol. Studying with Danielle Renee Battigione initiated her into her Magical practice many moons ago. Since then, she has shared and held ritual space in various magical workshops, embodiment events and at Soul Revival Ecstatic Dance for BIPOC. To hear more about her magical practice, check out Magic From the Root Podcast. To learn more about her offerings for bodywork, you can find her at[ www.andreatlmt.com](http://andreatlmt.com "http://andreatlmt.com").

Ida is an American-born Nordic Folk Healer, Somatic Guide, and massage therapist with over twenty years of hands-on experience. Rooted in ancestral healing traditions, she blends earth-based wisdom with somatic yoga and embodiment, guiding modern humans to reconnect with their bodies, remember their lineage, and restore their relationship with nature.
Through movement, sound, breathwork, and ritual, she creates transformative spaces for presence, connection, and belonging.

She is the founder and hearth-keeper of Caveside Wellness in Gladstone and co-owner of The Way Home Studio in Southeast Portland—two wellness spaces devoted to helping people find their roots and remember their way back home. Next Sacred Rage: July 18th

  • On the morning of a rare blue moon, we gather in the afterglow — a ceremonial space to meet ourselves without the usual rush, noise, or performance. A blue moon is an overflow, an extra moon that doesn't fit neatly into the calendar. There's something in that for all of us: the feelings that haven't found language, the knowing that hasn't surfaced yet. Your body knows what your mind hasn't caught up to yet. Cacao softens the walls. Breath finds the held places — and helps you move through.

With ceremonial cacao, guided inquiry, and a somatic, trauma-informed breathwork journey, you'll be invited to let your nervous system lead and feel what it's like to be held by a room breathing alongside you. You'll leave with a deeper sense of grounding and a little more access to yourself than when you walked in. Come ready to go somewhere real.

Drop-ins welcome, if space allows. This event tends to sell out, so pre-registration recommended.
